The Ministry of Salvation

And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name Jesus: for he shall save his people from their sins. (Matthew 1:21)

In the manifestation of the sign of the Son of Man, God portrays the ministry of salvation through Jesus as He did through the sanctuary service in the time of Moses.

The sanctuary that Moses was instructed to build according to the heavenly pattern pointed to the ultimate sacrifice of Jesus that reunites everyone with God who would accept Him. It represents repentance and forsaking of their sins in exchange for His righteousness.

Each part of the sanctuary symbolized an aspect of the plan of salvation.

After entering the courtyard through the portal called “the way”, the sacrificial animal would be brought and killed at the hand of the repentant sinner. By this act, the sinner acknowledged Christ as “the way” to be united with God the Father, because these clean animals pointed to Jesus as the Lamb of God, who gave the ultimate sacrifice on the altar of the cross while we were still in sin.

In the sign of the Son of Man, the cross of Jesus is depicted in the Horologium constellation, whose stars depict a pendulum clock pointing to the hour of the evening sacrifice when Jesus died. Please watch the video, If I Be Lifted Up, to learn how each hour of His trial is displayed on this celestial clock.

Before entering the sanctuary, the laver represented cleansing from sin through baptism when a sinner publicly accepts Christ as his Savior.

The center of the sign of the Son of Man highlights Jesus’ baptism, when the Holy Spirit descended like a dove upon Him. Jesus’ baptism was a baptism into His sacrificial ministry. The river in which He was baptized was not just water, but the stream of blood given so we may be called Children of God.

Jesus was baptized as the Example for every believer. Upon baptism, the gift of the Holy Spirit is granted, empowering the believer to receive the perfect life of Christ. It is a public testament that the believer has died to the flesh and is alive in Christ by His abiding Spirit.

Please watch the two-part series The Mystery of Baptism to understand more about the baptism into sacrifice that Jesus exemplified for us.

The Spirit then opens the door of “the truth” into the holy place of the sanctuary, making the believer’s body a temple of the Holy Spirit. The tabernacle itself represents the Christian experience after baptism, where the provisions for spiritual growth are found. The candlestick represents the burning oil of the Spirit, by which we discern spiritual things. The table with twelve loaves of showbread, also made with oil, represents God’s Word for the “12 tribes” of spiritual Israel.

The oil of the Spirit is the divine component dwelling in the believer and is represented in the sign of the Son of Man by the two olive trees as symbols of the divine witnesses. They are the light of time in the Horologium and the bread of the Lord’s body in the brightest constellation of the sky, Orion.

The last item in the holy place was the altar of incense, which represents the prayers of the saints ascending by the Spirit to God, by which we are brought into communion with Him. It is represented by the dove of the Spirit in the middle of the sign.

In the Most Holy Place, the presence of God Himself was above the throne of the ark of the covenant in the Shekinah glory between the cherubim. Once a year, on the Day of Atonement, the High Priest would enter the most holy place, through the portal called “the life”, to perform the final, highly anticipated ministry of reconciliation between God and His people.

This imagery can be seen in the sign of the Son of Man as well. The ark is formed by the two comets, which enclose the symbols of the foundation of God’s throne, the Ten Commandments, not written in stone, but in the heart by the Spirit.

The first table is highlighted by Comet K2:

• You shall have no other gods before Me—the Spirit of God.

• You shall not worship any graven image, made with the engraver’s tool.

• You shall not take the Lord’s name in vain, identifying as Christian when you are not baptized into His sacrificial character.

• Remember the Sabbath day—a holy marker in time.

The second table is highlighted by Comet E3:

• Honor your father and mother, who united and were fertile, as rabbits are.

• You shall not murder. Murderers are listed with dogs outside the city.

• You shall not commit adultery, like the church ship that is marked with the eye of Lucifer and cast out the Spirit of truth.

• You shall not steal, like those who copy the customs of the heathen around them.

• You shall not bear false witness, but be faithful even to death, like the tried gold of the dorado.

• You shall not covet, fixing your eyes on something like the crosshairs in a reticulum, or the fishing net of your desires.

In the sign of the Son of Man, the constellation of Orion represents the resurrected Jesus, who ascended to heaven to minister the merits of His blood in the heavenly tabernacle, interceding for all who would repent and accept Him as their Savior.

Seeing then that we have a great High Priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need. (Hebrews 4:14-16)

Through the sign of the Son of Man, the sacrificial character of Jesus is revealed. As the Son of Man, He fully embraced humanity by taking human nature forever—yet without sin. He alone is the way to the Father and to obedience to His law. The sign of the Son of Man declares that His ministry as High Priest will be finished on June 4, 2025.

Now is the time to come to Jesus in repentance, forsaking sin, surrendering your life to Him in baptism, and walking with Him in holiness.

Jesus will return as King of kings and Lord of lords, as prophesied in Revelation 19, which is beautifully depicted in the sign of His heart. He will bring divine justice and retribution upon those who have chosen to reject His sacrifice. With all His heart, He extends an invitation to all to repent while there is yet opportunity to do so.

The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. (2 Peter 3:9)

As the world enters a time of trouble unlike any before—when the wrath of God is fully poured out upon the impenitent—God’s children can have the assurance of His presence, sustaining them and keeping them from falling into sin until the appointed time of their deliverance, marked on His heavenly clock.

And now I have told you before it come to pass, that, when it is come to pass, ye might believe. (John 14:29)
