To Know the Lord
Hello and welcome back once again. Thanks for coming. We are going to look at, guess what? Amen, the sign of the Son of Man.
That's our textbook. And today we're going to learn about knowing the Lord. To know the Lord is a theme.
This is the sign of the Son of Man after all. So the more we study the sign, the more we learn about Christ, the more we learn to know Him.
But you'll see there's a specific reason why I chose that title and we'll get to that. In our study, we have been following the comet K2, which is this lower one that I've illustrated in darker blue.
And we've followed the course of the exodus of the children of Israel from Egypt. It's the Passover, the crossing of the Red Sea, the receiving of the law at Mount Sinai. And again, receiving the law the second time at Yom Kippur, this time representing when the law is written in our hearts. Now we're continuing the journey. The next place of interest is here in Orion.
Now, this is very interesting for many reasons, and we're going to see some of that today. But it comes from the background of this ministry.
Because when we started, we had no idea about the sign of the Son of Man. We only had an indication from a prophecy that Jesus would return from Orion. He would come through the open space in Orion, which represents that Orion Nebula.
This was a prophetic message given to God's people that the voice of God comes from Orion. And with that, looking at the clues in the biblical prophecies, we began to learn about Orion. For 10 years, more or less 10 years, we focused our attention on Orion.
Maybe not quite 10 years. Certainly, we had a lot of attention on Orion for that 10 years, but toward the end, God opened our horizons to see the entire Mazzaroth, all of the signs that the sun passes through in a year. But Orion has a special place in our hearts because that's where God began this ministry. We started with Orion, and we see in the sign of the Son of Man that that's where we end.
The comet ends before it leaves Orion. It comes through the heart and up to the head of Orion. This represents the travel of Israel.
Looking back at the Exodus story, the travel of Israel through the wilderness, which was only supposed to be several days of a journey. And you notice it goes right through, right near the belt stars of Orion. And what do the belt stars represent? The throne of God.
So that's like in the camp of Israel, they had the tabernacle where the Shekinah glory was, where God's presence was in this tabernacle. And all the children of Israel were camped around it. In an orderly arrangement.
And God traveled with his people. It was just a tent. It was really just a tent, and it was a portable building so they could take it down. It had hooks and sockets and things that they could assemble it, put it up, take it down. And God moved with his people in this tabernacle.
That was his house. And it was in the middle of the camp. And all of the people were encamped around it.
So whenever they moved, they would take down each their individual tents, and the tabernacle would be taken down by the Levites, and when they would go, the tabernacle would go first.
And all the people would follow in a specific order. So this time it represents God dwelling with his people. That's what the tabernacle was for.
It came from this time when they broke the law. And God said, okay, we're not going together. You guys go ahead, I'm just going to stay here. And Moses even pitched the tabernacle far away outside of the camp. It wasn't in the middle of the camp anymore.
In that time is when God gave the instructions for all the furniture and everything that they would put in the tabernacle. And so then they built the tabernacle. So the tabernacle represents God's presence with his people.
As we come into this time, where is the comet now? Right here, just before coming into Orion. So we're just coming into this area and now in 2023, in this time, and that's what God is pointing to, when he will dwell in the midst of His people, and that's why there's been all of this preparation going beforehand.
First, he brought them out of sin. He baptized them. He gave them his law, but they broke it. So he wrote it in their hearts. These are all the things that the sign is pointing to. And when the law is written in our heart, then he can dwell with us.
I want to look briefly at Orion in the way that we began learning about it from the beginning, because in Revelation chapter 4, it talks about the throne of God. Let's go ahead and look at that. So in Revelation chapter 4, in verse 2, it says, And immediately I, that is John, the one who wrote the book, I was in the spirit and behold, a throne was set in heaven. And one sat on the throne. And so he describes him who sat on the throne. And then in verse 4, And round about the throne were four and twenty seats: and upon the seats I saw four and twenty elders sitting, clothed in white raiment. They had on their heads crowns of gold.
So there's 24 elders around the throne. And out of the throne proceeded lightnings and thunderings and voices: And [there were] seven lamps of fire burning before the throne, which are the seven Spirits of God. Before the throne [there was] a sea of glass like unto crystal: And in the midst of the throne, and round about the throne, [were] four beasts full of eyes before and behind.
He describes their faces, very unique creatures, and they praise God. And it describes their worship. And they bow down. In verse 10, the four and twenty elders fall down before him that sat on the throne, and they worship him that liveth forever and ever.
So whose throne is this? Naturally, God's throne. And they cast down their crowns before the throne, saying, Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honor and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.
So this scene is represented in the imagery of Orion. We see in the middle three stars, the belt stars, that represents the throne of God. God is in the person of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. But he's one. He's one unit in the middle, one throne, but represented there in three parts because of the three persons of the Godhead. We even see the sea of glass in the Orion nebula, and if you've seen the close-up pictures, it's a beautiful nebula that looks something like a sea, and it talks about it as being mingled with fire. And I saw, as it were, a sea of glass mingled with fire. This is Revelation 15, verse 2, a sea of glass mingled with fire.
Now, any sea on earth is not very compatible with fire. Normally, there's no fire in the sea, but this is a heavenly sea. And when you look at pictures of the Orion nebula, of course, there are stars everywhere within and around the glassy appearance of that nebula.
So, it's a very fitting description, this sea of glass mingled with fire. Looking back at Orion, we have the throne, we have the sea of glass, and we have the four living creatures that are around the throne and centered on the throne. And those are represented by the outer stars of Orion.
And then, it mentions those 24 elders. Now, there's no visual clue in the heavens that point to those 24 elders. They're not visible, but they do have a place.
And that, we'll talk a little bit more about that, but it points to the function as a clock, because there are 24 hours in a day. And so, we have a hint, at least, that this is a clock. And there's visions in Ezekiel that also suggest that this is a moving mechanism with wheels within wheels, just like a clockwork, where you have gears intermeshing one another.
Let's look at Revelation chapter 5, continuing the illustration or the prophecy that points to Orion, because here, in this chapter, it continues, and he says, I saw in the right hand of him that sat on the throne a book written within and on the backside, sealed with seven seals. So, Revelation chapter 5 is talking about this book. I'm not going to go into a lot of detail about that today, but nobody can be found who can open those seals.
Nobody's worthy to open those seals. No one on earth, nor even in heaven. And John is weeping because nobody can open this book, but then in verse 5, one of the elders saith unto me, Weep not, behold, the lion of the tribe of Judah, the root of David, in other words, the son of man, Jesus.
He hath prevailed to open the book and to lose the seven seals thereof. And then, he describes the throne scene again with a little bit more detail. And I beheld, and lo, in the midst of the throne and of the four beasts, in the midst of the elders, stood a lamb, as it had been slain.
And we've talked about that before, and that's why we have the middle of the clock centered on the star Alnitak, that's the new name of Jesus, and the star, that name is Arabic, and it means The Wounded One. That's one of the meanings of that name, The Wounded One.
And so, that refers to this one, as it had been slain, the wounded lamb. It's Jesus there at the center of the clock. The one who was wounded for us.
And it describes seven horns, seven eyes, again mentioning the seven spirits of God that are sent forth into the earth. And of course, we have four outer stars and three belt stars. Four and three makes seven.
So, with any clock, you need to know how much time does it point to. Is it one day? Is it one hour? Is it 12 hours? There are 12-hour clocks and 24-hour clocks. And all these things are buried in the scripture, and it took a lot of study to discover these things.
So, I'm just going to show you a little bit from the results. If we go to the book of Daniel, chapter 12, and we look at verse 5, he says, Then I, Daniel, looked, and behold, there stood other two, one on this side of the bank of the river, and the other on that side of the bank of the river. And one said to the man clothed in linen, which was upon the waters of the river, How long shall it be to the end of these wonders? So, this is in the setting of the time of the end. He wants to know, how long is it until the end. And then, the answer comes, but in the process, this man, who is Jesus, I heard the man clothed in linen, which was upon the waters of the river, when he held up his right hand and his left hand unto heaven, and swear by him that liveth forever. That's the Father. So, Jesus is standing on the river with his two hands raised up, and he swears to the Father, him that liveth forever, and then he gives a spoken word.
That it shall be for a time, times, and an half. And when he shall have accomplished to scatter the power of the holy people, all these things shall be finished. Now, when we look at that, you think, okay, there's the answer.
Time, times, and a half. And then we focus on that and understand that time, times, and a half. But what about this part where he's raising his hands to heaven and swearing? Now, remember the whole picture, he's standing in the middle of a river, and there's a man on this side, and a man on that side of the river.
So, he's standing between two men, and he's raising his hand. Normally, when you make an oath, like if you're in a courthouse and you swear an oath, normally, you put your hand on the Bible, and you raise one hand, and you swear your oath in that way. But Jesus is seen swearing effectively two times.
With both hands, he's swearing. Now, it's interesting because the word swear in the Hebrew literally means to seven oneself, or to multiply by seven. And seven is the number of completion.
It's Christ's number. And so, when one swears, it's like they're saying, this is true in the authority of God. It's as though Christ is saying that, and so, you have the highest authority.
That's why it's a solemn thing when you give a sworn testimony. So, here, he's the person of Jesus, and he's swearing. So, we have that number seven there.
And we have one oath for one man on the right, and one oath for the other man on the left. So, we have to understand this in the context of what Christ is doing for his people. And from that, we learn a little bit of biblical math.
Because each of those people represents a whole class of people. And the river, what direction, or rather, a river flows in only one direction. What else flows in only one direction? Time.
So, this river that Christ is standing on is a river of time. And Jesus, standing in the midst of that river, when he had his left hand and his right hand stretched out, that points to the cross. And Jesus died.
Did he die only for those after the cross? No. Did he die only for those before the cross? No. He died for those before and after the cross.
So, that's the imagery that we see there. It's Jesus on the cross, making his sacrifice for all of humanity. Before His cross and after. Those who looked forward, like Daniel, lived before Jesus. And those like us, who lived after Jesus.
And he's talking about the time of the end, when the covenant would be finished. And the covenant is represented by the number 12. I don't have time to talk about where that comes from, but there's plenty of material that explains that in detail. But the covenant is represented by the number 12.
What God has done for man in Christ. And so, in this picture, with Jesus in the center, making a covenant with those before Him, and a covenant with those after Him, we have 12, 12, and 7. Those are the numbers that relate to the time. And that's completely separate from the spoken time.
That was a long introduction to Orion, because those numbers then tell us the duration of this clock, because we have 12 times 7, because he swears that oath, and then an additional 12 times 7 for the other side. And when you put those together, you come out with 168.
So, there's 168 different units of time, different years, for example, or days that remain to be studied out. We're not going to cover all those details. But first, we recognized that this was pointing to a historical time.
168 years, most of it all in the past. But now, in the sign of the Son of Man, we are coming back to Orion. And the Bible says of Jesus that he is, in Hebrews chapter 13, in verse 8, it says, Jesus Christ, who's represented by Orion, is the same yesterday, today, and forever. So, before, when we studied Orion, we learned all those details.
He's the same Orion today. And we'll see some interesting things. And I took you through that explanation about the numbers and the timing of Orion, because it relates to our time today.
It's not just historical for the past, but it also relates to this time now that is just ahead of us. The question is, in what way does it relate? Instead of years, like it was before, when we had the Orion clock, now we don't have a clock. We just have a line going through Orion.
But we can express time on a line also, right? We call it a timeline, at least in English. So, this represents a timeline, and it's an Orion timeline. So, what number might you expect to be associated with that timeline? The same, 168.
[From audience: “It could also work as a clock hand, single clock hand pointing to the different aspects of the clock of Orion…”]
Sure, and we'll look at that also in a moment. It's like a moving clock hand. If we stretch our imagination a little bit, it doesn't have to be anchored on one point, but a clock hand that is freely moving through this clock.
And it points to a few different places in Orion where there are crossings, and that are significant, those markers. Just like we saw in the Orion clock, the stars formed lines between them, and that was like the lightnings it described coming from the throne. Here, we have the same picture, but I've marked some of these dates on there.
And it's interesting because there are exactly 168 days from, if we count that from the end, 168 days, we come to this point here, which is December 12th, right between December 12th and December 13th. And another 168 days, we come to exactly that same point on what we know is the seventh trumpet. And this is a very special time as well, this date at the beginning.
That was the beginning of the Day of Vengeance. There are many studies that have gone into this. It's difficult to express it all in a condensed form, but we've been talking about the seventh trumpet, and now we have markers for the limit of that trumpet.
Now we see not just the mouthpiece that we saw before, but we also see where the end of the bell of the trumpet is. This is a very important time after December 12th, because that's when, that's where the sound comes out of the trumpet. It is what happens here, we talked about how it gets amplified, and then what comes out is the sound, the amplification of what you blow into the mouthpiece.
This is just the beginning of this time when… Okay, we don't want to say exactly, because we don't know exactly. God doesn't give specific details about what the future holds. He gives us principles and some detail enough to understand what we need to do, and what to expect, and how to prepare.
Now it turns out that on this very date of December 12th, there's an astronomical event that is going to happen, a very interesting one, because there's an asteroid that is flying around up here at the moment, and it's swinging down, and it comes right to the star Betelgeuse. On December 12th, it goes directly over that star from the perspective of certain places on Earth, so that it will darken that star, not from everywhere on Earth, but from some places, the star will actually become dark as this little asteroid flying in the sky blocks its light. So that's a pretty remarkable circumstance when an asteroid covers up a star, two little pinpoints both aligning together.
And of course, when we recognize Betelgeuse there, this is the right hand of Jesus, represents his right hand, and it's a red giant, it represents His wrath. This is a time that is very fitting for the time of the end, it's when we can expect great trouble, and it's exactly on that same date, 168 days before the end, exactly that same Orion timeline. Now, I want you to look at Ezekiel 12, because in this chapter, God tells Ezekiel to give a message.
In Ezekiel 12, verse 22, he says, Son of man (God is speaking to Ezekiel, and he calls him son of man), what is that proverb that you have in the land of Israel, saying the days are prolonged and every vision faileth? So the people had become complacent. They would hear the warnings of the prophets, they would always say, you need to get your lives in order, you need to do this, put away your idol worship, and serve God alone.
And the prophets would always be warning them, you're going to be carried away into Babylon, or some other captivity, you're going to have wars, you're going to be servants to your enemies, but they were living still comfortably. And so it even became a proverb, a saying that they had, oh, there's a long time yet. All the visions, they're way far away, they're not for us.
The visions fail, that means they're not for us. They don't apply to us, or maybe they're even false. And so God is saying, hey, what is this proverb that you say? Tell them, therefore, thus saith the Lord God, I will make this proverb to cease, and they shall no more use it as a proverb in Israel, but say unto them, these days are at hand, and the effect of every vision.
So God is saying, hey, I'm going to bring this to pass, it is going to happen. And when it happens, then you're not going to say anymore, oh, the visions are for far away, you're going to recognize it's for now. And that fits very well to our time today.
We talk about all of these things, and it seems like mysteries in heaven, like detached from us, but it's not so. It won't remain. We won't have a peaceful world, if you can call it peaceful, much longer.
God says, you're not going to be saying, oh, this is for some time off, we still have years to live on this earth. Things are going to change. And when they do, everybody will know this is the end.
And you won't be saying, the visions are for a long time off. Notice in Revelation chapter 10, and verse 5, he's describing a vision of an angel who is giving an oath, similar to the one in Daniel, but it has a few differences. And the angel which I saw stand upon the sea and upon the earth lifted up his hands to heaven (this time just one hand) And he swear by him that liveth forever and ever (so very similar to what we saw in Daniel, this time he adds), who created heaven, and the things that therein are, and the earth, and the things that therein are, and the sea, and the things which are therein, that there should be time no longer.
So this angel is also swearing about time, just like in Daniel. In Daniel, Jesus had two hands lifted up, and he swore about how long it would be until the end. This angel stands with one hand lifted up, and he swears that there should be time no longer, or delay no longer, no more delay.
This is the end, just like Ezekiel. You're not going to be saying anymore, it's for a long time off, these things are happening now. There should be time, or delay, no longer.
And then, in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin to sound, the mystery of God should be finished, as he hath declared to his servants the prophets. So this is directly in the context of the seventh trumpet, when the angel says, there's no more delay. And we see an angel, a messenger, holding his hands up, and then we see this comet, sorry, it's not a comet, it's an asteroid. Thank you. Highlighting that hand, and there shall be delay no longer, connected with this time, when the sound comes out of the seventh trumpet. [From the audience: Jesus saying, “I AM coming…”] Amen? I'm coming.
What did we start out talking about? How this is about Jesus dwelling with us, God dwelling in us. And that's why in Revelation 10, he talks about the mystery of God being finished. And what is the mystery of God? It's in Colossians chapter 1, and verse 27.
Let's start at 26. Even the mystery which hath been hid from ages, a hidden secret from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to his saints: To whom God would make known (so he wants to reveal His mystery) what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles? And he says what it is. It is Christ in you, the hope of glory. Christ in you, the hope of glory.
That's what we see. Christ on the throne, in you, that's what this is all about. This point of the trumpet in the Exodus story is about the law being written in our hearts, about Christ being in us. The character, yes.
[From the audience: “The bride is ready! Jesus can come!”] Exactly. That's when the bride is ready, when the law of God is written in the heart, when he is on the throne of our hearts, dwelling in us, then He can come to take his people home.
And that is connected with this sign on December 12th, which is exactly one Orion timeline of 168 days. Of course, this is just a few days in the future. It's not far. And who can say exactly what will happen then, where it will happen, how big it will be, how much it will grow? We will discover all of those things. But the most important part is that we have the character of God written in our hearts, because that's how we will survive this time. And by survive, I don't mean just to physically live. I mean to ultimately spend eternity with God.
[From the audience: “So this is like a kind of preparation before meeting God like the Israelites prepared to meet God on the mountain before He gave the Law as well…”] Absolutely. It's always a time of preparation.
There's never a time when we're not preparing, I would say. It's not like we finish the race. We finish the race at the end of our lives or when Jesus comes. Until then, we're constantly preparing. We're constantly running that race. And it's not to be because it's just a matter of a choice.
It's a matter of surrendering to God. And once we do that, once we finally let go of our own ways and accept God on the throne of our hearts in our daily lives, that's where we live. We live every day, day by day. And it's in those daily decisions that we make.
If God is on the throne in our hearts, we're at peace with Him, then whatever happens, we're with Him. And it's good, then we know the Lord.
On the other hand, if we don't have that peace in our heart, as God said to Israel through Ezekiel, notice what he says just before. This is the same place where I shared from before. And just before that, in verse 20, God is telling them about the things that will happen, the bad things that He's warning them about.
And He says, the cities that are inhabited shall be laid waste and the land shall be desolate. So, great destruction. And then He says, and you shall know that I am the Lord.
Now, there's a difference between knowing the Lord and knowing that He is the Lord. And that's the difference between those who receive Him into their hearts, let Him rule in their lives, they know the Lord. But the others who refuse Him, they will learn that He is the Lord.
They experience the hard aspects of God. Jesus said that the rock had a similar function. Jesus said in Matthew 21, verse 44, whosoever shall fall on this stone shall be broken.
Jesus is the rock. And if we fall on Him, on the rock, then we're broken. But that's a good thing.
We want to fall on Jesus. We want our flesh to be broken. We want our will to be broken so that He can reign in our lives.
But on whomsoever it shall fall, if the rock falls on you, it will grind him to powder and rather be broken where you can be healed than to be ground into powder and there's nothing you can do anymore. This is the difference. It's the same stone, but it's your relation to that stone.
It's Christ who is the stone. If we fall on Him and we're broken at His feet in repentance, we recognize that we've made a mess of our lives. That's the brokenness. We recognize that we are broken and then we surrender to Him. We choose Him.
We allow Him to be the King in our lives. That's the relationship that we want rather than the other way around, to know the Lord versus to know that He is the Lord. So, it's my prayer that we will each take that to heart and know the Lord.
It's just a decision and therefore the timing is just the urgency of the decision. It's not about getting your life in order and you feel you have to do things. It's about walking with Jesus.
That's what the sign shows. Walking with Jesus, with Him on the throne.
So with that, let's stand. Amen. Thank you.
Dear Heavenly Father, we thank you once again for your presence, for dwelling with us.
Thank you, Father, for sending your Son, that He was willing to separate Himself from you in order to unite us back to you, into your presence, so that we can be one with you and even sit on your throne, the throne of the Lamb, even as He sits on your throne. These things are very high and wonderful and Father, we recognize that when we get involved, we make a mess of our lives. When we are ruling our hearts, we go astray.
We don't walk in your ways, but now we come to you, our rock, and we fall on our rock, broken. We acknowledge our brokenness, our failure, and we surrender our lives to you. May you sit on the throne of our hearts and reign in our lives.
This is our desire and we thank you for accepting us into your family, calling us your children, being a father to us. And as a father dwells with his children, so you dwell with us. You give us your law and you put it in our hearts so that we can walk with you.
We thank you for that, Father. We praise your name, for your mighty and wonderful works, and for showing us the urgency of surrendering our lives to you. Even if it's just a short time, it's enough time to choose life, and that is our choice now.
We accept that you reign over us. We will have this man to reign over us, that we may know the Lord, our Father.
And we thank you and we praise your name. In the name of Jesus Christ and Alnitak, His new name, The Wounded One of Orion, we pray these things. Amen. Thank you and we'll see you again next week, I hope.
