The Cross and God’s Calendar
The centrality of the cross in the gospel is evident in scripture. Without the shedding of blood there is no remission of sin, and the cross is at the center of the great prophetic week. You can see more about this great week in the short video entitled The First and Last Prophecy.
But as important as the cross of Christ is to Christians, very few people throughout Christendom even know when it took place. How can that be? The timing of important historical events is something that is so crucial to understanding our history and identity that we never forget important dates. How can it be that the date of Christ's crucifixion is unknown? In this video we want to highlight the message of the cross by studying the day of that great event, because God's timing is perfect.
And in so studying we will see how the correct date sheds a great light that will allow us to understand the workings of God's calendar, and emphasize how amazing it is that the only FRB source in our galaxy highlighted exactly that date in the amazing message from the throne of God introduced in the video How Long, O Lord. Even in the Old Testament the cross was prefigured by symbols and through the so-called Jewish feasts, which were actually instituted by God through Moses and are thus instructive to all believers in God, not just Jews. The first thing one notices about the feasts is that the holy convocations were divided into spring and autumn feasts, and that the people themselves would come and experience the meaning of the feasts in person, because the great master intended to convey their teachings not only in a theoretical way, but also in an experiential way.
So the people who were being liberated from bondage were to eat the sacrifice and sprinkle the blood on their doorposts as a sign of faith and trust in the one who would eventually free them from the bondage of not only Egypt, but also of sin. Indeed they were instructed to carry unleavened or unpuffed up bread dough for their journey that they were embarking upon as a symbol of a life of freedom from pride and every other sin. The feasts found in Leviticus 23 are Passover on the 14th day of the first month, the feast of unleavened bread from the 15th to the 21st, with a special first offering on the 16th, after which Pentecost comes in 50 days.
In the autumn, the day of trumpets is on the first day of the seventh month, the day of atonement is on the 10th day of the same month, and the feast of tabernacles is from the 15th to the 22nd. But how do you know which is the first day of each month, or when the first month of the new year begins? Historically, we know that the ancients began the year in spring, but when exactly? Incidentally, at the time of this production, almost the whole world is in quarantine and celebrating the beginning of a new common calendar year, so it is a good time to understand the true calendar of God that he gave for our instruction. Professing Christians are attempting under these present conditions to celebrate the birth of our Lord about two months too late, because they neither understand God's calendar, nor the times recorded in the Bible.
You can read about the true birthday of Christ in the article Christmas 2.0 on lastcountdown.org. The answers to how the calendar of God works are found when we study Christ's death more deeply. That is, after all, the event that we have been invited to remember and make part of our own experience until Jesus comes. As part of that, shouldn't we know when it happened? For as often as ye eat this bread and drink this cup, ye do show the Lord's death till he come.
In this verse, we learn that Jesus, when he ate the Passover, instituted the Lord's Supper in its place, and he died that same Jewish day, mere hours after his terrible night of anguish and Gethsemane, around the time of the daily evening sacrifice. It so happened that he died on a Friday, or preparation day, before resting in the tomb on a High Sabbath, so called because it was not only the seventh-day Sabbath, but also the first day of the Feast of Unleavened Bread, which is a day of holy convocation and a ceremonial Sabbath in its own right, according to verse 7 of Leviticus 23. And therefore it was to be regarded as an extra-special High Sabbath, as mentioned in John 19.31. All of these things are explained in simple and meticulous detail in the article series entitled Full Moon at Gethsemane on LastCountdown.org. Please read those articles for profound insight on these things.
This video is just to introduce you to the topic and encourage you to dig deeper by reading those articles in your study time. So, on what Friday did Jesus die, and why is it important to know, and how is this connected to God's calendar? We've already noticed that God's calendar is the basis for the solemn feasts, and that Jesus himself fulfilled the spring feasts through his work on the earth. But we should also want to know the exact date of the crucifixion, which will shed light and sound on the correct functioning of God's calendar, and thus we will be able to better appreciate the messages that come from the throne of God, like voices, thunder, and lightning, as it says in Revelation, and as conveyed in the impressive video, How Long, O Lord? Going back to the date of the crucifixion, the prophecy of the 2300 evenings and mornings, with the 70 weeks included, is clearly related to the daily sacrifices.
And by knowing the date of the beginning of the timeline, that is, the command in 457 BC to restore Jerusalem, we can confirm the year AD 31 as the year of Jesus's sacrifice. But what was the date of that Friday, which had to be the 14th day of the first month of the year AD 31? By answering this question, we can clearly understand the God-given rules for his calendar. Again, it is all explained in careful detail in the articles of the Gethsemane series on lastcountdown.org, so please study further.
Many people try to sow confusion around these clear prophecies and their clear fulfillment, but we know Satan is the author of confusion, and there are many variations of the biblical calendar that are promoted today, but are not correct in every or any circumstance. On the other hand, God has promised wisdom to those who ask him for it, and we would be wise to make the words of the apostle Paul our own, who said, For I determined not to know anything among you save Jesus Christ and him crucified. To make it as simple as possible, all you have to do is reconstruct a calendar for the year AD 31 and look for which Friday corresponds to the 14th day of the Jewish month.
That would have to be the day of Christ's crucifixion, and doing so reveals several conditions that determine how God's calendar must work in order for that Friday to be the 14th day of the Jewish month. Thus, by studying the date of the crucifixion, we have the ideal scenario to understand the nuances of God's calendar. In summary, here are the main points.
The days begin at sunset, and not at midnight as we are accustomed to. Jesus died on a Friday in the year AD 31, according to the 70 weeks prophecy. The beginning of a new month is indicated by the first visible crescent of the new moon, and not the astronomical new moon.
If the moon is not visible on the expected day because of atmospheric conditions, the month begins the next day automatically, because no month should have more than 30 days. The year begins after the spring equinox, and with mature enough barley. In case the barley is not mature enough, or the spring equinox has not arrived yet, a thirteenth month is added to the old year.
Again, this is painstakingly detailed in the Gethsemane articles, which you should study for yourself. But in summary, only this set of calendrical rules results in a spring Friday of AD 31, falling on the 14th day of the Jewish month, namely, Friday, May 25, AD 31. All the other Jewish calendar reconstructions miss the mark, and fail to confirm that our Lord died as recorded in the Gospel records, and that the timing of His death fulfilled the 70-week time prophecy.
The sacrifice of the Lamb of God made on the cross of Calvary for you and me, is at the heart of the messages that God has been revealing through His calendar and His clocks. His death unlocks a proper understanding of the calendar that opens the horizon to understand more of the times and seasons of God. This knowledge is a life experience, and the clocks of God are instructive for the choices we have to make today.
Watch our other videos on the White Cloud Farm channel for more timely guidance from God's Word. With the understanding shared in this video, it can be seen how special it is that one of the three fast radio bursts that happened in our own galaxy pointed exactly to the solar anniversary of the crucifixion day, as shown in the video, How Long, O Lord. We hope it is now somewhat clearer how amazing it is that the message coming from the throne of God presented in that video actually confirms that Jesus Christ died for you and is returning for you.
Through such signs and wonders, God's people in recent years have been experiencing more than a theoretical knowledge of the power of God. It is an experience that changes one's life, because God is alive and speaking to us today. He counsels us in our choices, He confirms His truth, and He warns of the deceptions of the enemy.
You too can hear His voice by studying the materials on lastcountdown.org and whitecloudfarm.org, and by getting connected on 144,000-remnant.org. Through His voice from heaven, God has confirmed His calendar, the historical fulfillment of the 70-week prophecy, and all the Bible truth that was painstakingly hammered out by early Adventists and tested by past generations. By confirming the date of the crucifixion of His Son, God's voice is speaking again today, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. Hear ye Him.
Amen. So be it.
